Third Generation Construction isn't just a name — it's our story. The knowledge, skills and standards that define the way we work today were built over three generations of the Palmer family working in the construction trade across Hampshire.
Construction isn't something we stumbled into. It's what our family does. It's what we've always done. And the values that have been passed down through the generations — quality over speed, honesty with customers, pride in the finished work — are the same values that every Third Generation Construction project is built on today.
Grandad Albert — The Foundation
Our story begins in 1972 in Overton. After proudly serving his country in the British Army, Albert returned home, picked up a trowel, and laid the first brick of what would become a lifelong legacy.
Over five decades, he has built homes all across the South Coast, earning a reputation as one of the most reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy bricklayers in the industry.
Today, he's still going stronger than most young men half his age. Albert instilled the core philosophy that guides us to this day: uncompromising precision, flawless execution, and a strict rule to never cut corners.
Father Mark — The Craftsman
Father Mark brings over 30 years of hands-on trade experience to the team, specialising in full interior refurbishments, master plastering, bespoke carpentry, painting and decorating, and structural roofing work.
From complete internal property overhauls and timber framework to smooth plaster finishes, painting, and weatherproof roof repairs, Mark oversees all internal transformations to ensure every job is completed to the highest standard.
Uncle Mark — The Expansion
Learning from the absolute best, Mark left school early to join his dad straight on the building site. He spent years absorbing Albert's decades of knowledge, perfecting his own skills before eventually stepping up to take the business to new heights.
Driven to expand what his father started, Mark began managing large-scale projects and quickly became one of the most sought-after builders around. He diversified our expertise by mastering complex groundworks, full back-to-brick house renovations, and high-end luxury swimming pool construction.
Grandson Reece — The Future
Following the family tradition, Reece moved straight from school onto the job site with a clear focus on growing the business.
To understand every stage of a build, he spent years hands-on across key trades including plastering, roofing, carpentry, brickwork, groundworks, and more.
Today, that broad site experience is helping drive our next chapter. Reece has focused on expanding our in-house team, broadening the range of services we deliver, and taking on larger, more complex projects while keeping our family values at the core.
